Bring home your new best friend from Schnauzerland, a family of giant and miniature Schnauzer breeders in Northeast Tennessee.

Breeding miniature schnauzers  for the past 26 years, we work hard to create the very best companion for you, selecting our breeding dogs for their fantastic personalities which prove exceptionally sweet, calm, and good natured. Our puppies are known to greet everyone with an easy-going demeanor, showing truly socialized personalities.

Available in brown/chocolate and parti colors, our miniatures consider themselves equal members of your family blending right into your home environment and are bred for this purpose. For this reason, our puppies are sold on a limited registration, meaning if you breed any dog from Schnauzerland the puppies produced cannot be registered.

Eager to please, quick to learn, and easy to train, our giant Schnauzers come into your lives as if they have always belonged there. Socialized with our miniatures, our giants are not barky, snappy, or fearful, but instead offer companionship and love. Available in black and silver or pepper and salt, our giants will find their place in your home and in your heart in no time.

Bred with love and the best of care, our puppies are ready to make the smooth transition into your home.

We appreciate
your visits to our website!
God Bless each and every one of you!

THANK GOD FOR SCHNAUZERS!!!!!!!
I cannot imagine my life without them this past year!

Ivan along with the rest of us here at Schnauzerland want to take this opportunity to welcome you to our Website! We have been working hard to bring to you a website to visit that will make you feel comfortable and welcome. We want you to enjoy every page and feel at home. Take your time, sit back, relax and enjoy your visit to Schnauzerland.  As you read our Fairytale Pages, enjoy our story and think of your own fairytale that you can share with us. Chuckle as you read our This and That page. We are working on a new Forum to create our own Discussion interaction page, so please come back and visit to join this forum and share with us your own schnauzer stories, wisdom, to talk with other schnauzer lovers and  ask questions about your schnauzer or schnauzers in general that can be answered in many different opinions.

Our first and foremost goal here at Schnauzerland is to produce an even tempered and good-natured schnauzer as your new family member.  Along with having great temperaments, our schnauzers are very beautiful to look at and admire, but their main goal is to add much comfort to our stressful lives. They consider it their job to make us feel better. This comfort comes in full measure from either the big or small.

They seem to ask "what can we do today to make you feel better?" All they ask for in return is to be loved!

Black and Silver Giant Schnauzer Puppies

As one of my dear customers put it as we were discussing the passing my my "Angel" Midge, Schnauzerland Schnauzers are like Velcro, always sticking right to us and never letting us out of their sight! That's the way we  like it. Always knowing our schnauzers are right beside us or  laying on the other side of the door just waiting for us to open it. The only problem with this is when they are laying on the other side of the door and you have to push it open, you can't because they are blocking it! Or you can see their nose and feet under it and this weird little grunting noise that doesn't even sound like it is coming out of your "dog"! As you can see in the above picture, even as babies they want to cling to us. Both these babies were right against my feet while I worked at my desk.

In the next few pages of this site we hope you can find what you are looking for in a new companion. One to become a member of your family.  Please keep in mind that we do specialize in Schnauzers only.  We do not raise any other breed.  We feel our schnauzers are so important that we want to give 110% to produce the very best friend, companion and family member for you that we possibly can. When you add a Schnauzerland Schnauzer to your life, we want you to feel that you really don't know how you ever lived without them.

Our Schnauzerland Philosophy

Let no one ever come to you without leaving better and happier. Be the living expression of God's kindness: kindness in your face, kindness in your eyes, kindness in your smile, kindness in your words and kindness in your heart. Speak kind words and you will hear kind echoes!

We sincerely hope that we have touched you in a positive way before you leave our website and hope that you are anxious to come for another visit.

God Bless you and your family.

I thought I would share this with you. This is exactly how I felt about Midge sleeping with me. I couldn't put it in words, but I have said for the last 9 months, I miss her breath at night the most and this explains it perfectly. I do believe God gave us dogs to be our very best friends with a non-cursed "true love"! The purest kind.

"THE BREATH OF A DOG"

BY

Stanley Coren, PhD, FRSC

"There is one sound that dogs make which I have not included in my discussion of Doggish vocalizations.  I didn't include it because it is an automatic sound, which probably was not intended by either evolution of the gods to be communication at all, but it has come to mean something to me.  It is the sound of dogs breathing.

At night, when I lie down to sleep, my old dog Wiz lies on the bed beside me, while Odin lies on a cedar chip pillow on the floor close by my head.  Just across the room, my puppy, Dancer, who is not quite fully house-trained, sleeps in his wire kennel.  In the quiet and the darkness, sounds are amplified.  I can hear the low, slow breathing of the big black dog, the short breaths of the orange puppy, and the occasional sniffle and snore of the old white dog.  As I listen to those soft sounds, I think of some earlier man, lying in a cave or rude shelter, resting on a bed of hides or straw.  It was a hostile, dangerous world.  Weapons were primitive, resources often sparse, and there were menacing things that moved in the night.  That long-gone ancestor also had dogs who lay beside him as he tried to sleep.  His dogs breathed these same sounds and these sounds had meaning.  They were not merely part of the language of nature - they were the sounds of safety and comfort, a recitation of the dog's eternal contract with humans.

"I am here with you," the dog's breath said.  "We will face this life together.  There is no beast or intruder that can steal up on you undetected because I am here, and I will be your eyes and ears.  No harm will come to you because I am at your side to warn you, and to defend you if need be.

"We will hunt together tomorrow.  We will herd together tomorrow.  We will share sunshine tomorrow.  We will explore this world together.  We will play together, even though neither of us is any longer a child.

"If luck turns bad, then when you grieve, I will comfort you.  You will never need to be alone again.  I promise this.  As your dog, I will sing this promise to you, and whisper it to you at night, every night, with my breath."

I can hear these words in my dogs' soft sounds of breathing, and just like my ancient ancestor, I understand these words and I am comforted.  In my heart I know that if the language of dogs were so limited that this was the only message they could send, it would still be enough."

Schnauzerland Has Lost Another
Very Special Angel!

"ELIJAH CONGER"

A Schnauzerland Angel

April 17, 2003 - June 21, 2006

Elijah Conger was born on April 17, 2003 at Schnauzerland. He was a part of Schnauzerland's Angel project. After contacting Barbara, and telling her my need for an Angel, she brought Eli to me. You see, I have a mild case of cerebral palsy and a very bad case of hip dysplasia on both sides. Some days it is very, very hard to walk without the aid of pain medication. In fact, some days I can't walk without medication. Never before in my life have I met a dog like Eli.  When the God of my understanding seemed too far away, Eli was my God with skin on. My life has been forever changed by having him in it. There is a hole in my soul. What do I do now?

I thank God for Barbara and the Angel project. I will be forever grateful for Barbara placing Eli with me. The Angel project is truly a gift.  I can take comfort in the knowledge that I loved him with all that I had and he loved me the same way.

Eli has crossed over the Rainbow Bridge. This was the hardest decision of my life, letting go of my Angel Eli. Although he was here with me for such a short time giving me his healing love, my life will be forever changed. I thank God for loving me enough to have blessed my life the love and devotion of this wonderful Giant Schnauzer Elijah, my Angel.

My father passed away in 2001 and he too was a great man. I have a vision of my father greeting Eli at the bridge and taking care of him for me.

Thank you for indulging me and for your prayers. Thank you for reading this and learning about this awesome, wonderful Angel.
Lisa Conger
